Hi Bro Lonerider,

Went you leaving for Phuket for the bike week? Thinking of going with my partner.Not confirm plans yet. Looking to either fly to Phuket then rent bike from there. Afraid my bike not be able to take d long ride and carry a pillion.You have been to the last Phuket bike week. Whats d hotel rates and whats d budget like for the trip? If plans to ride what speed would you be doing cos my speed should be around 110-130kph. Am not famliar with the roads to Phuket so unless have other slow rider was thinking of riding with a few bikers to guide the way.

Hotels in Phuket vary from Bahts 600 to 2500, any way I usually look for one around Bahts 600 to 800, sometimes not possible especially during the peak season, anyway the last time I stayed at the Aloha Villa, Patong beach, infront of the main road to where all the action is, restaurents and pubs.
Your bike can make it, lah, anyway the group I ride with will be going slow, about the speed you stated below, as they would about 65% cruisers or choppers, it's a mixed bag, you know. During that time there will be a lot of biker groups going there, as it is a major event, anyway you are welcome to ride with us, don't worry we wont leave you behind, we never do that. A friend of mine rode his vintage Classis Trimph there a couple of years ago.
I will most probably leave on Friday 11th and be back on either the 13th (Sunday) or 14th (Monday) of April. Bear in mind it will be Songkhrang at that time, so be prepared to be drenched. If you need to book some hotels let me know I will let you have a few numbers to call.

Thanks Eric.... Will do. Let you know once i confirm with my partner. She don't want me to leave her behind and she thinking of riding with me. Would be great if you could pass me which hotels that you be putting up so that I can check out from the web site.Would be great to ride togather as you are the Sifu to Thailand and I be lost if I were to ride alone.My bike may hit 160kph top speed and due to and old bike and don't know the road condition would not want to speed.Anway, Would look out if other slow riders would want to convoy.Think date should be Ok from Friday to Sunday or Monday. Well, any other SFB interested to convoy to phuket Bike Week? bounce

Errr, I am not the sifu of Thailand roads, I will leave that to Razin. Gerry may go, you could join up with him, to.

Well, am sure all are sifu in Thailand.M sure you guys knows all the Jalan there. Am a green horn yo yo.
Is Tok Razin going? Hopefuly be able to convoy with him if he is planning to ride for the event. Can't Keep up with Schackster would only be able to get his smoke and not see him with the speed he be doing. Anyway, Any takers for a normal ride to Phuket Bike Week?
