| Moto Guzzi Griso

Aprilia Shiver
 Piaggio
 Aprilia Shiver

Taken at the Temecula Balloon and Wine festival today. The booth belongs to Cycleworld, which Penguin will know of course. They also just received 1 unit of the Aprilia Mano yesterday. Seems they are the 1st in California to import it. |

| Wow,nice bikes. The "Griso "very nice except for the plain round headlight, looks like they just shoved it on at the last moment. The "Shiver", damned sexy looking naked bike from front to back What size engine ? |

| | Hope you had a few extra glasses of wine on my behalf. I "abstain" from drinking when I'm in bolehland. Haven't had a beer the last 6 weeks! Far cry from the 2 30-can cases I pick up when I run down to the corner store back home. Why 2 cases? One under each arm, of course, for balancing. |

| | Met a biker riding an MP3 at the Kinrara Petronas, on the fateful night of the long queue. Cool dude from Msportbike. He invited me to try out the 3 wheeler. I like how the bike locks in the vertical position at the flip of a switch. No tipovers. |

| Darn Firefox crashed on me twice while i was trying to post a reply so now i need to re-do the whole thing again.
Hiee Gary! Yup.. the Griso is nice cept the plain light. A bit bulky in the front but for the huge guys around here, they were happy to look small on it. (as if) The seat height is 31.5" but the seat itself is rather wide, and comfy looking.
The 'Shiver' really is so so sexy. heheh.. It's a 750cc. Looks like something you should consider. Actually, if BigMama sees it, she might want it too, unless she prefers fairing.
Peng ....The Piaggio MP3 is really neat eh? Yeah, the fact that it locks the wheels in place at the flick of a button, really makes me want to give it a try too. hahah.. And of course, i wont need to worry too much about tipping over. hehehe. Under the seat is a whole lot of storage space, and also a seat cover that pull over the seat when u are parked under the sun, to keep it cool. Unlike the Can Am spyder, this one leans. So it feels like a 'real' bike. The young and very pretty sales lady there has staked claim on the newly arrived Aprilia Mano. With the rising price of fuel these days, the ladies were eyeing the Vespas. Can't beat up to 70mpg on that thing. I didn't 'drink' though. Beer was usd6 a 'cup' and Paul was sitting there drinking all day with his friend Dave (in that pic below, with me) I shopped like crazy, and Paul is probably flabbergasted at having to fork out usd600 on my shopping. hehe... Look at the chair i bought too....
I LOVE that chair!! heheheh And the view from where we set up our chairs, when we got there fairly early. In the evening, the whole place was packed with people. Seems they had the record numbers of visitors yesterday. Kenny Loggins performed.

I had a little nap while the bands were playing. In the evening, it got bloody cold. The difference in temp between day and night is just plain crazy. Really missed all of you yesterday (all the time actually). Would hv been so so much more fun with all of you around. U guys can ogle at all those fake boobs, and drink beer, and look at bikes. There were custom choppers too at another booth. Lots of stuff to look at. |

| Gary... isn't the Aprilia showroom in Bangsar? I wonder if the Shiver is available in Msia. Let us know too, if u find out the price. As for my chair... hehehe.. i still love it! renetto is the brand. We took it to a poolside/garden party yesterday. Sonia was hogging my chair. Even that skinny kid of mine can easily fold it up by herself.
I got sunburnt from 2 days of being in the sun. Blazing midday sun here can kill! After that shake like a leaf from the cold. arrgghhh!! |

I had coppertone on but obviously not enough on my shoulders. I don't think it will peel but it's red and a bit sensitive. |

| Yesterday Penguin came over to take Max_jr and me for a ride around the area. Ended up riding about 100miles. Aiyooo.... nerve-wrecking in most of the way but coming back was kinda better. Was sooooo cold, windy, my fingers were cold and numb, my teeth were chattering, my knees were shaking, but overall a good experience.
Penguin had to ride more than an hour to get to my place. So with all that riding, i think his derrier is a bit sore. hehehhe...
He provided excellent tips for tackling the twisties, which really helped. Most of the way back we rode at 60mph. The threat of rain was there too. I guess that's why it got so cold esp with my perforated Icon gloves which are best for KL temp. Need to get another pair of thick gloves. Shopping time!!

That pic was taken when we stopped to check the directions on the GPS. (I need a Zumo soon heehee)
Horse ranch in the background. Yes.. we are in the countryside aka ulus. |

| Finally i managed to upload a vid of Paul's cast being removed and a new one put on. A bit eeewwwie to watch if you don't like medical stuff much. Beware! There are views of the staples being removed from his leg.

| Hi dragonfly..
Penguin didnt get to eat all the good Msian food but at least we did get some time to hang out at my hse for a few hours after the ride. I fed him plenty lah. hehehe.. I made Carrot cake the day before, so we had that for teatime. Also had chips with homemade guacamole and salsa. For dinner, we had grilled salmon, potatoes, veggies. And more cake for dessert. Then the black&tan after all that. It sure was nice to hv him visit.
On Sunday Paul was admitted into hosp and was finally discharged yesterday, so i havent ridden since last Sat. Today Patrick rode to the pharmacy to get Paul's medication. |
