There's wide swings in daily temperatures and even within a day. It was cold around noon but became nice and warm when I went out around 3pm. This is what people like about living in Southern California. You can walk around in a t-shirt and yet see the snow-covered mountains within an hour's drive. You can literally surf and ski on the same day.

Hello people. I'm sorry for keeping quiet, college killed me. But now I've been rejuvenated, and kicking.

So, I hope I can contribute as well in any ways possible.

Cheers guys. Ride safe. I'll update my profile soon.

Looks like Khai is rather busy at the moment with Ziniac. The ZZR has busted a radiator hose i guess. They're in Sri D'sara area at the moment trying to fix it enough to be able to ride back. Updates later when Khai gets online.

Khai came to the rescue carrying his toolkit on his shoulder, while riding his Stealth. Seriously, he looked like he was ready to surgically molest the bike. But he was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.

It was almost midnight, when the hose POP. Now at least I know how it's like to have the "OH SHIT!" moment...

When he arrived, he skillfully took out the screws so that we could take out the fairing, thus making our life a lot easier. But the engine guard couldn't be taken off.

Bummer.

So imagine Khai sitting down on the floor, fiddling, trying hard to pull the bloody hose out, muttering beautiful poetry to the bike.

And after the 2nd try of putting back the newly-fixed hose into place, all the while muttering lovely words to the bike, and praying, he managed to put it into place, and we rode off to his house.

Seriously, thank you Khai for helping me out. Thank you maxi for not being mad. I owe you guys... Oh, and thank you for the ciggs Khai. It helped.

Let me know the updates ya Khai.

So, tomorrow night, which is tonight actually, TTS? elephant

Zin... my lil Bro...( Although i am old enough to be your mother.. u better not call me aunty.) it's hard to be mad at u lah. It wasn't even your fault. Just normal wear and tear, literally so in this case. I'm just grateful you didn't lose control when it popped. You're safe and that's all that matters. I will call AhTee in the morning and screeech at him as usual. I miss that guy.

U should hv recorded Khai molesting the bike. How come he never molested me like that ah???

Khai!!! What are u doing offering Zin ciggs??? U trying to ruin his health?

hey ziniac,
no problem, all in a days work,

always happy to help a brother spitfire... besides it gave a chance to fiddle wif bikes, fixing not breaking for a change lol.

Yeah, the temp radiator gasket shoud hold up till i get it to Ah Tee in the morning, let him replace the component and refill the radiator with coolant, should be good as new.

close inspection of the ruptured gasket hose indicated that it blew apart due to failure of the structural integrity of the double walled rubber, it seemed to indiicate previous weakening and micro fissures in the inner wall which caused the catastrophic failure due to pressure.

It was probably an OEM part, and taking into account the age of the bike and the stress placed on it over the years and by the previous riders (we know who you are lol) it would come as no surprise, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Anyway, with a replacement put in it should give no further trouble, especially as the current owner does not even ride it LOL
