The registration Fee is RM50 and the membership fee is RM50

They are having their annual dinner in conjuncetion with their AGM on the 15th May at Sri Petaling Hotel. the dinner is free for members and there is also a free Tshirt for members.

Ok, apart from the free makan & tshirt, the main purpose and benifit to registering is that they will be conducting Motorcycle Safety riding courses, whic will be free to members.

Hmax is hoping as many of us as possible can join. if we get enough participants thay can break it into smaller clases for a more intensive interactive approach I think this is an excellent and timely opportunity for all us bikers to brush up on the necessary skills to help keep us riding for a long happy time.

For the newbies... learn how to ride properly and safely, good foundations lead to stong platform to build up your future experience.

for the old timers... brush up on the forgotten wisdom, refresh ur attitude and kick off bad habits u probably picked up along the way

And we can all have fun doing it together, share the experience.
Following up on this.. I would love to have an opportunity to learn basic motorcycle first aid and first responder skills in case of accidents, is anyone else interested in leaning life saving skills athat may one day benifit a fellow biker who goers down. the ability to help tip the balance of life or death in a critical situation...

knowing how to save urself and the skills to save others... two very important aspects of biking knowlege i think we often miss out on.
make the change now!

Please remember we have had alot of mishaps and biker down incidents and have already lost 5 bikers that i know of. ACT NOW!

okie, here is an update, after friday nite TT, Hmax turned up afer daragonfly called him, so now it looks like we have the following for the MAFT course/dinner/membership:

I have 5 riders already.

I am going ahead to sign up these 5 riders first. The MAFTS AGM & Dinner will be held on May 15, at Sri Petaling Hotel....Rm100 is for registration (RM50) as MAFTS member, Dinner (Rm50) plus free T-shirt.

(Last year's riding clinic conducted in Msportsbike was RM50 for registration & Rm100 for clinic)

Though most of us signed up for the Safety Riding Clinic, I will be at the AGM, representing the combined 'interest' . It is only courtesy. & I appreciate those who already paid me to make an attempt to come along.

The Riding Clinic Dates i.e 1 X Saturday Practical/Theory class & 3 X Sunday Rides will most like commence only in June 14, 15, 21/22/27/28/ and maybe spill over to July 5/6.

Bcos it is not a profit making proposition, the volunteer-instructors also need to find the suitable time...NOw u understand why i is difficult to organise such event tepukdahi

yay! looks like my clients are postponing the shoot till later a bit so if all goes well, i can also make it for the dinner too now:) looking forward to the ride clinics, june/july is a good time for me.. i can schedule things better then.

OK...in order to lessen my coodination efforts, this is what we will do..Those interested and wanted to hand over the RM100 can now do so at the following:

Date: May 15
Time: 7.00pm registration etc...(dinner at 7.30pm)

The objective here is to get to know the MAFTS people & the instructors for the Safety riding Course.

Remember this is NOT a profit making session. Its merely experienced bikers wanting to share knowledge and hopefully reduce biker fatalities on the road.

I am doing a favor for the Prez to pass word around...

I NEED to attend this course,so I propose the following dates (only the instructors can change them based on their availability):

June14 (Saturday - time probably noon onwards) - Theory class. Follow by a short ride.
June 15- (sunday - probably 8am) - Practical - Ride to Awana or Fraser or TTkong - the instructor will follow u and give u tips on the proper way to whatever lah!

June 21 (Sat AM) or 22 (sun AM) - Continue Practical Class
June 28 (Sat AM) or 29 (sun AM) - ditto.

I intend to keep the class small, so that personalised attention can be given to each rider. Subsequent classes can be organised if more riders are interested.

Call me at 016 228 6699, if u wanna ride to Sri Petaling togather...regardless, I am leaving from Subang Jaya at 6.30pm.

gee... i'll go~! but i can only pay up when we reach the hotel... no issues right?

Wah! U all rugi lah! Shocked

5 other fellas who joined me (including one absentee who paid rm100 in advance bUT i ate his share lah!) not only had a buffet spread (ayam percik, fried fish cutlets, sambal sotong, mixed veg, japaneses taufu, etcetc..lagi desserts,, freee flow koipi, teh, etcetc...) but also a rare opportunity to know, mingle, learn from some of the best riders in M'sia (a number of them were local GPs champions and volunteer riding instructors)... Very Happy

I enjoyed the gathering so much that after the dinner &AGM, a few of the seniors and I sat down and talked bikes, bikers, bikinied girls, beer, bikes, bitchy bad bikers, beauties from LOS and bikes until 4.45AM! affraid

ALL of those who came with me won lucky draw prizes...(silkolene chain lube, rstaichi mink oil) cheers

An the joke was...The absent biker who paid me in advance also won 1 of the 2 garnd prizes (rs taichi long-sleeve tshirt worth rm135! thumpup BUT being absent its lol!

And the prize went back to the pool! lol!
